On the evening of October 23, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., our university successfully held the Proposal Demonstration Meeting of the Area Studies of the 2024 National Social Science Fund project through the Tencent Meeting online platform. This demonstration meeting, focusing on area research, was coordinated by the School of Social Sciences and invited five well-known experts in the field of world history: Professors Huang Minxing, Wang Xingang, Han Zhibin, Li Fuquan, and Yan Wei, to provide guidance on project topics. More than ten professional teachers from our university and teachers from other units within the university participated in this demonstration meeting. During the meeting, the five experts conducted meticulous and comprehensive evaluations of the argumentation documents submitted by the applying teachers from various aspects such as project topics, structure, content, and significance, and provided constructive suggestions for improvement. Over the course of the four-hour demonstration meeting, the profound knowledge and patient guidance from the experts were deeply appreciated and admired by all attending teachers. This demonstration meeting has significant guiding significance for the project applicants to further refine their topics and conduct research, and it also provides great inspiration and assistance for other attending teachers to explore topics and research ideas in the direction of area studies.
