Exploring the Translation Capabilities of AI: A Case Study of Literary Anecdotes

Speaker: Professor Han Ziman

Han Ziman is a professor and doctoral advisor at the Institute of Corpus Studies and Applications at Shanghai International Studies University. He serves as an executive council member of the China Association for Comparative Studies of English and a council member of the Translators Association of China. As the secretary-general of the Shanghai Science and Technology Translation Society, he is also on the editorial boards of “Shanghai Translation,” “Foreign Language Research,” and “English World,” and serves as the executive editor of “Frontiers in Corpus Studies.” Han has led three provincial projects and currently manages a key project funded by the National Social Science Fund, along with two projects from the Central Compilation and Translation Bureau. He has published over 90 papers, authored six monographs, translated nine works, and completed more than three million words in translation. His recent research focuses on corpus translation studies, translation and war, and the translation of Chinese literature.
