On the afternoon of July 1, 2024, our school convened the 2024 online professional interview session for international student applicants, focusing on selecting three candidates interested in joining our programs. Present at the meeting were school leadership, the Director of the English Department, the Director of the MTI Center, an assistant to the Dean, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, and representatives of master's supervisors.
The interview process comprised four stages: self-introduction, academic background overview, future academic plans and expert questioning. Assessments emphasized applicants' character, understanding of China, academic foundations, research capabilities, language proficiency, potential for growth, and interest in studying at our university. Following the interviews, expert reviewers held extensive discussions and provided favorable recommendations for admission.
The three candidates participating in the interviews hail from Thailand, South Korea and Kazakhstan. They applied respectively for our academic master's, English undergraduate and English exchange programs. This represents another stride forward in our school's international talent development following the recruitment of foreign master's students last year.
