At 4:00 p.m. on September 13, 2023, the School of Foreign Languages held a work meeting of foreign teachers in the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. The leaders of the school, directors of each department and foreign teachers from English, Japanese, Russian and Arabic majors attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Dean Cao Ruonan arranged the work for foreign teachers in the new semester, made clear requirements on teaching discipline, lecture attending, academic activities and social services, etc. In addition, she also emphasized the important role of foreign teachers in the teaching work and academic research of the school. Robin Gilbank, the supervisor of foreign teachers, introduced the situation of foreign teachers listening to lectures in the last semester and put forward corresponding suggestions. In the Q&A interactive session, the foreign teachers present raised some problems they encountered in their work, and the leaders of the college and department directors gave serious and detailed answers, and encouraged the foreign teachers to actively participate in scientific research cooperation and academic exchanges, so as to make greater contributions to the further development of our school.
