On November 8th, the expert assessment for the Master’s degree authorization point in Foreign Language and Literature at our school was successfully held. The panel of experts for this evaluation was composed of five well-known external experts: Professor Feng Zhengbin from Chang’an University, Professor Zhang Yi from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Professor Wu Yuxin from Xi’an International Studies University, Professor Wang Shunyu, and Professor Lei Qi. Members of the school’s leadership team and representatives of master’s degree supervisors, including Professor Li Tie, also participated. The assessment was chaired by Dean Cao Ruonan.
Firstly, the panel of expert assessors visited the classrooms to observe the courses for the English Language and Literature and Japanese Language and Literature majors for students enrolled in 2023. Subsequently, they proceeded to the conference room to commence the assessment work. During the meeting, Cao Ruonan extended a warm welcome to the visiting expert assessors on behalf of the school. She provided a detailed report on the basic construction, academic characteristics, and talent cultivation of Master’s degree authorization Point in Foreign Language and Literature in our school. She expressed her hope that this evaluation would serve as an opportunity to propel the development of our school’s Foreign Language and Literature to a higher level.
This specialized assessment of our degree authorization point serves as a review of the level of our graduate education and the quality of our training. It is an important means of supervising the quality of graduate education. In the next stage, the school will diligently implement the fundamental task of moral education and talent cultivation. We will take the assessment as an opportunity to promote construction, drive improvement, and advance progress, striving to elevate the quality of our graduate training to new heights.
