The School of Foreign Languages adheres to the fundamental task of "cultivating students' moral character" and consistently places student affairs in a prominent position within the overall work of the school. In 2023, in accordance with the documents such as "Opinions on Further Strengthening the Construction of Academic Ethos for Undergraduate Students in the New Era" and "Notice on Carrying out the Theme Activity of Academic Ethos Construction 'Forge Ahead Together and Create Excellent Academic Ethos" as well as the arrangements for further promoting academic ethos construction by Northwest University, our school vigorously carried out activities to build academic ethos. Guided by the spirit of "integrity, diligence, and simplicity" in our school motto, we aim to cultivate a new generation of foreign language students who have ideals, dare to take responsibility, are willing to endure hardship, and are willing to strive, thereby promoting the construction of our school's academic ethos to a new level. We aim to create a strong learning atmosphere and a favorable educational environment, enhance the quality of talent cultivation, and contribute to the construction of "first-class undergraduate programs" in the school and the "Double First-Class" initiative, thus contributing foreign language expertise, wisdom, and vitality to the realization of the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation. The construction of academic style is a systematic project, which is of great significance to improve the quality of education and teaching, cultivate high-quality talents, and promote the construction of "first-class undergraduate program" and "double first-class" construction of the university. In the future, the college will continue to focus on the construction of "double first-class" and foreign language talent cultivation goals, implement the " ‘new man of the times’ soul-building project", and steadily promote and vigorously guide students to practice the school motto of "public, sincerity, diligence, and simplicity".
