The 16th session of Foreign Language Press and Amazon debating contest of Northwest University was hold in Chang’an campus. 32 teams of 11schools from Taibai campus and Chang’an campus attended this contest.
Eight debaters began their debating about the issue: whether the children of irregular immigrants should enjoy all governmental preferential? The Machine Tongue consisted by Duan Beilei from Art School and Wei Zhenggang from Economy Management won champion, which would participated in the second round contest of western region.
This contest provided a good platform for students to further understand British Parliamentary Debate System and strengthened English thought ability.
